U.S. stocks basked in a week of sunshine as investors cast off economic fears and earnings disappointments to concentrate on longer-term opportunities. Although trading remained volatile, major indices ended the week up 4% to 5%, while money flowing out of Treasury bonds pushed the associated yields sharply higher.
